Welcome to the first blog post on the new Old School Football blog. I will be using this more frequently in the past now that we have returned from our hiatus. 2023 was a rough year for Coach Eagle and myself (the founders of Old School Football LLC.) as we both had personal challenges to deal with that took us away from the game of football outside of our coaching responsibilities. I myself am still recovering from some serious back problems, trying to put off, or at least delay surgery at all costs but am trying to get back in the swing of things with clinics, consults, and camps. Life is short and it is time to get back to what I enjoy doing.
I will be trying to maintain this blog weekly. Included in my thoughts within the world of football, you will see clinic notes, clinic reviews, book reviews and notes, thoughts on offense, defense, sepcail teams, interviews with great coaches, and much more.
I am grateful for those who supported me through these last 2 years, which were the most difficult 2 years of my life, and I am ready to start taking steps forward and upward, instead of just doing-what-I-got-to-do to "get by".
